The basic idea of the Fête de la Musique is music for everyone – without genre boundaries, without restrictions and without admission. But as we also want to create something more sustainable for the city’s music scene with our festival in Chemnitz, we launched our “Pfandtastisch” donation campaign in 2017. Here, all visitors can donate their deposit tokens and thus, without much effort, make a small contribution to the Chemnitz cultural scene.

In the past, we have already supported many different projects with your help, including the Municipal Music School Chemnitz, 100Mozartkinder, the sign choir Monael and friends and the “Traumkonzert”, a music project for people with and without disabilities.

This year we would like to ask for your donations again: Due to the loss of income in the two years 2020 / 2021 and the effects of the Corona pandemic on the local economy, we have lost important sponsors. In order to be able to keep on creating many beautiful Fête moments for you in the next few years, we are dependent on your support this year.
